Japanese Division: Project 3 in the works

My apologies for the delay, but our third doujin translation is currently in the works, and hopefully within a week or so should be nearing completion. While at this point I am not at liberty to divulge what we are working on, but what I can say is that it's a step away from our first two projects.

Nonetheless, I believe that you will enjoy the work nonetheless, as the series this doujin parodies is indeed a very popular one, and the art quality of this doujin is very high. However, there are a few issues that I have been discussing with the rest of the team. While most of these are possible time issues, the largest one is of material availability.

While I would personally prefer to stick with doujins for the time being, due to the popularity of doujin translation amongst scanslators, we may be looking into the possibility of starting work on a h-manga down the line. This is only a hypothetical direction of course, but while each Comiket brings us a wealth of materials, there are quality h-mangas each month; nonetheless, it's a very competitive market these days.

Anyway, I probably should stop ranting, and resume translating.

J-PROJECT 2: Bakuretsu Fusen: Oreyori Tsuyoi Yatsuni I need you!

After many delays, and many improvements, I am proud to present our second project, the follow-up doujin to Bakuretsu Fusen's WE GOTTA POWER. In truth, this is a Capcom vs. SNK doujin, but fans of the original will no doubt enjoy this one, perhaps even moreso than the original.

We've also tried some experiments with typesetting, and as opposed to the sub-par job we did last time that got us a lot of criticism, we've managed to produce a more polished project this time around.

My apologies for the cheesiness of some of the dialogue, but once again Bakuretsu Fusen outdoes himself, shall we say. Nonetheless, try to enjoy, and we'll try to get a new project to you within a couple of weeks, hopefully.

Japanese Division - Project 2 Update

We're facing a few issues at the moment, but I'm proud to inform you that after a plethora of issues, we have selected our second project, and that the translation is about 55% done, and that we may have the translation done within a day or two. Ironically, our second project is the follow-up to our first project, as it is Bakuretsu Fusen's work from the winter 2008 Comiket.

But because of this, and as translator some of the issues are more glaringly apparent, there will be a certain amount of familiar dialogue in the follow-up work. Whether or not this is due due to Bakuretsu Fusen's style, or merely a lack of creativity is beyond us, but I must apologise to the readers for what seem to be merely a copy of the original work in some parts.

I might as well explain the delay before I switch off for the night; originally we had a Sakako-lookalike h-manga oneshot as our second project, but unfortunately, my knowledge of Japanese slang and dialects is minimal, so I had to drop it. Nonetheless, we've picked up this project, and I intend to make it up to all of you by trying to get this one done as soon as possible.

As always, we appreciate feedback from users, and we'll be actively seeking our next project in the coming week or so at this rate.

Japanese Division - Project 1: Update

No, we aren't dead, but the process leading up to our first release has been a long and overly drawn out one, mostly due on my part. Nonetheless, we are making great strides as to making our first proper release on this blog, largely due to the commitment and patience of our editor and 'shopper, Pak.

I've put my head down in the last two days and I've managed to finish the translation of a project, but until the final product is finished, I can't say much more; what I can say however, is stay tuned, and you'll be rewarded for your patience.

That being said, this is your (slightly lazy :P) Japanese translator, signing off.

Regards,

KX

Japanese Division - First Projects

After a period of deliberation, I've selected a few doujins that may very well be our first projects; however, with a few of them, we have the inherent issue of time, as it's natural that we're running in contention with various other groups and independent translators to release a quality translation first. Nonetheless, in the coming days I'll be translating at least one of the works I have on the table.

While I'd like to reveal more details, I'm still figuring a few things out, so I'm sorry but you'll all have to wait a little longer before there are more details. Nonetheless, if we're lucky, the first project could be out in a week or so, and time permitting the second project may very well be on its way by then.

So, stay tuned, and you may all receive a pleasant surprise.
